McClintock Lab

Lab Directory

The McClintock Lab research programs focus on the social and behavioral regulation of neuroendocrine systems, gene expression, disease and mortality. Devoted to the concept of transdisciplinary research, which brings together specialists at multiple levels of biological organization to tackle complex systems, Dr. McClintock designed and oversaw the building of the Biopsychological Sciences Building, and in 1999, founded the Institute for Mind and Biology, whose mission is to promote transdisciplinary research on the reciprocal interactions between social behavior and psychological states, at the behavioral level analysis, and, at the biological level of analysis, neuroscience, endocrinology, immunology and genetics. This transdisciplinary effort was enabled by Dr. McClintock's broad training in laboratory research, with animal and humans, in several disciplines: biopsychology, endocrinology, animal behavior and psychiatry.
